Mrs Sibongile Manganyi-Rath is the Founder and Executive Chairperson of indigo kulani Group (Indigo Kulani Group). She completed her National Diploma and Baccalaurean Degree qualifications in Architecture at CPUT in Cape Town.

She then acquired extensive experience from different prestigious Architectural companies in the country with award winning projects in commercial, upmarket residential and presidential projects before she founded Indigo Kulani Group in 2006 at the age of 26 years. Sibongile Manganyi-Rath continued to grow the company from a small Architectural Company into an award winning multi-disciplinary consulting group that it is today.

In 2013 at the age of 32 years, Sibongile Manganyi-Rath became the youngest recipient of the prestigious BBQ Businesswoman of the year. Through her international studies and experience in the US and Europe, Sibongile Manganyi-Rath gained knowledge to set up a Private Equity vehicle in Africa to invest Real Estate with key focus in Healthcare, Education and Affordable Housing.

MR VUYISILE HLABANGANE

Qualifications: Qualifications: MSc: Project Management (UCT), Post Grad. Dip: Public and Development Management (Wits), Graduate Cert. Climate Change and Carbon Economy (Wits), and an MBA (Construction and Real Estate), University of Reading.

Mr Hlabangane is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Indigo Kulani Group. He is a seasoned business and banking executive and an experienced project finance specialist with over 19 years senior and executive management experience, cross-over skills and management expertise gained within Public and Financial Services Sectors.

His professional and postgraduate studies over the years have covered the realm of Property and infrastructure. He has also worked in varying capacities within leading corporates and organisations such as the DBSA, ABSA Capital’s Investment Banking and Retail and Business Bank Divisions, Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (RSA), amongst a few others.

Mr Hlabangane was also a Director and Managing Executive for Absa Property Development Holdings (Pty) Limited and was directly responsible for the design, financing and delivery of several multibillion mixed use housing development projects through South Africa. He has passion for development and extensive experience in Housing, Property, Tourism, Power and renewable Energy, Water and Sanitation, Road, Rail and Air Transport, Education, Recreation, manufacturing and business re-engineering.

Mr Heiberg is the Group Chief Operations Officer of Indigo Kulani Group. He completed Management Coach at X-ponential, Senior Management Programme at THALES University, M Eng Management at the University of Pretoria, Management Advancement Programme at WITS, Diploma in Datametrics at UNISA and B tech Engineering at Technikon University of Tshwane.

He his career at CSIR in 1976 as an engineering and electronics developer.He then acquired extensive experience from Murray & Roberts as an Industrial Process Control & Automation Engineer in 1981, a Programme Manager/Systems Engineer at Geologic, Divisional Manger in Command & Control at Altech Defence System, General Manager in operations at ADS, and Manging Director at THALES Air Traffic Management.

Mrs Van Wyk is the Financial Director of Indigo Kulani Group. She is currently completing her CIMA in full. She has over 22 years’ experience, gained across various accounting roles both internationally and locally.

DNVGL - Det Norske Veritas and Germanischer Lloyd in London, as well as at their other offices in countries across Sub Saharan Africa and Europe.

Kelly Group in South Africa.

As the Company’s Financial Director, she is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all finance related activities of the company. Through her extensive international and local experience, Bernice continues to play a key role, in ensuring that the company continues to create value for both internal and external stakeholders.

She then acquired extensive experience as a business strategist with in the corporate affairs space. She has worked as the Managing Director at Enlight/Emeritus Training Academy, Managing Director at Statistical Dry Cleaners, Manager of Corporate Affairs at Microsoft South Africa, Manager Group Communications and Marketing at Shanduka, Corporate PR Manager at TCTA, senior manager at Corporate Affairs at Sentech and Specialist in Media & Publication at Development Bank of Southern Africa.

Mr Bunge is the Group Technical Risk Management Director at Indigo Kulani Group. He acquired his National Diploma qualifications at CPUT in Cape Town.

He then acquired extensive experience from different prestigious Architectural companies in the country. After Working for Project Management and Architectural companies in JHB and Cape Town he then joined Indigo Kulani Group.

He has also worked in varying leading capacities within Indigo Kulani Group such as Head of the Planning and design. He was also a technical advisory/monitoring leader to Department of Health Limpopo on all large Infrastructure projects under National PMSU Programme, Technical advisory/monitoring to National Department of Basic Education under the ASIDI Programme.

Popo is the founder and director of R Masilo Attorneys. He has acquired extensive experience as Professional Assistant at the Norton Lambrianos Attorneys. He then served as a director at Norton Lambrianos Attorneys and Raffertys Masilo Attorneys.

He is also a member of Non-Executive Director at Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) (SoC) and Board Member, Bertha Gxowa Hospital.

DR KWAME AMUAH

Qualifications: PhD (University of Massachusetts at Amherst in USA), MPA from Harvard University

Dr Amuah is the Non- Exe Chairperson of the Group’s Board. He is the founder of OSR Holdings which has interests in several companies both private and public. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in the USA and MPA from Harvard University.

Dr Amuah is also the founder of Singularity Institute Africa and Centre for Disruptive Technologies. He was also a special advisor to Dr Ben Ngubane who was South African Government Minister of Science and Technology from 1994 to 1999.

Dr Amuah represented South African Government on United Nations scientific and technical committees such as International Atomic Energy Agency and UN Office for Outer space affairs. Dr Amuah is also Africa Regional Chairman of Nuclear Disarmament Forum. He sits on several boards of companies in which his investment firm has interests which include listed and non-listed companies. He is also an author of two published books and many published articles.

MR KRISHNA GOVENDER

Mr Govender is a Chartered Accountant (SA), with 20 years of experience and is currently an Equity Partner in a SMME management consultancy business. He has vast experience in business strategy, implementation of strategy, day to day operational management and processes for various SMME, EME and QSE businesses. He is constantly looking for investment opportunities that resonate with his skills and experience, where he can add value and grow the specific business.

Prior to the management consultancy business, Mr Govender served in a Senior Executive capacity as the Chief Financial Officer of SuperSport International (Pty) Ltd and was part of the Multichoice SA Group for five and a half years. In addition to the operational financial management of SuperSport and strategic financial guidance to the senior executive team, he has been a Non-Executive Director of Natal Sharks (Pty) Ltd, Free State Cheetahs (Pty) Ltd, KZN Dolphins (Pty) Ltd, Titans Cricket (Pty) Ltd, Eastern Titans (Pty) Ltd and SuperSport United FC (Pty) Ltd

Mr Govender is currently involved in the following public-sector boards/committees:
